TexasBrat
I just had surgery last week to remove a cyst on my face and the stitches came out today. I don't want to spend tons of money on buying something at the store when I know I have tons of butters and oils at home that might work just as well. Anyone have any suggestions? sudsnwicks
Off the top of my head, I'm thinking of vitamin E, emu oil, and shea butter. Do you have at least one of these? I'm sure others with more experience will chime in too.
TexasBrat
I have all three. I was thinking of using the Emu oil but just wasn't to thrilled with putting it on my face where I could smell it. lol It's kinda gamey smelling. SpaceGirl
Honey can work wonders, as well. I think Macadamia Nut Oil is supposed to be very gentle and good, too.
Late Night
My first thought was Emu Oil too.
cellydaniel
I second emu oil but it does stink. I heard grapeseed oil and calendula oil works well.
jbren
Emu, definitely. I used it on my husband's skin cancer wound on his face and even the doc was amazed at the way it healed.
TexasBrat
jbren, that is cool. I put some on last night and I have stored it in my fridge and it was like a butter consistency and I just rubbed it in and I am pleased to say I didn't notice the smell. DeJae
TB,I had cancer surgery also in June. I asked my doctor what she thought would work, she said well, not common household items, but if you can find some aloe vera gel that has vitamin E, it works wonders.I proceeded to tell her what I sell and she said, USE IT.I swear to you, I had surgery on June 29th and the scare is almost totally gone. She now buys bottles of the mix from me for her patients.
