Vicky_CO
You are suppose to put them in a self cleaning oven on clean for 10 to 20 minute. Okay that is what BCS site says to do I have no idea if it works.
GrayMaire
This thread may be of help regarding rusty vegetable cans. The candle pictured in the thread is cute as can be! http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51878&highlight=tin
awickedscent
Yes, you are supposed to put them in the oven. I usually put in as many that can fit and turn it up all the way and leave it there for about a half hour. Make sure you have good ventilation and open some windows because it will smell. That is if you are talking about the paint cans
Beth-VT
If you don't have a self cleaning oven, just turn it up as high as it will go, probably about 500°. Should take about 30-40 minutes to get a nice deep bronze effect. And turn on the fan, cuz it will stink a bit. This is for the standard candle tins/lids. Have no idea if this works for vegetable type cans.
