sunnie
Thanks! I like the larger ones as well, but I am just starting out and I want to start small! LOL!
grama
Sunnie - have you tried Wal Mart, K-Mart, any Dollar stores, Dollar Tree, any place like that?

Meredith_D
Thanks for all the info on these jars everyone! I found them at Dollar Tree and I am stoked that I don't have to pay shipping!! Finally something local!
Sharon in PA
Aren't they pretty? And so nice and thick and heavy! I am getting a few dozen of the covers from Taylored and I am also going to put them in cello bags w/ a cute bow, or jute or something for Christmas... I think they'll be adorable!Question: Are you guys planning on putting a label on these? Or label the cover, or, like I am thinking of doing, the bag? Seems a shame to mark the jar up... kandlekrazy
Sharon,Do you know what the covers look like? I didn't see a pic on Taylored's site...maybe I'm overlooking it?

They look good on the jar, I was afraid they wouldn't. I guess you have to buy the cover and the adhesive strips...looks like they sold them separately. I have a bunch of these jars that I haven't been using because I couldn't find covers, so you made my day!
grama
What I found the best way to do the covers - press all four sides and then on the corners bring the cover together and be sure everything is sealed tight then take scissors and cut where the corners go together. Does that make sense. DH says I am not good at explaining!
kandlekrazy
Your instructions make sense to me...I know what you mean about explaining things...sometimes what sounds right in our head, doesn't look so good in print...lol!
grama
Forgot to add - as far as labeling - I used the 2" round clear labels on mine and they look good to me. Sorta blends right in:)
Sharon in PA
Hey just wanted to add to this: I got the small square adhesive covers from Taylored, and used one this morning. I snipped into ea. corner, so it would fold down nice, and it works very well! Looks nice and neat, sticks well, and is very sturdy... I'm satisfied! My kids noticed the new jar and commented on Mommy's "nice candle!"
grama
Glad you liked them. I want to get some of the small round ones for my flower pot votives. Lady at gift shop in town says they make real good "little something extra" type gifts. They were out when I ordered the square ones. Sent an email yesterday but haven't heard back. If they have them in I will order some of them also. Sure cheaper than buying the plastic covers from Lonestar. Also the plastic covers do not fit the flower pot votives you can get at Dollar store and Walmart and it is much cheaper to get them there than having to order them. kandlekrazy
Thanks ladies for all the info on those covers...I'm going to place an order today and see if I can cover all the jars I bought that I've been putting off pouring into. grama
I got an email from David today and they now have the smaller round ones in. Going to order some of them also and the larger ones. I think they are really neat. I saw somewhere where they had been used for the apoth jar and it didn't look bad. The lids for those cost almost as much as the jar and when the jar is going to be thrown away. I think they had pretty ribbon tied around the neck and really looked good.
