SoapInTheCity
I got this 1 oz bottle of 'Burts baby bee' Apricot Baby Oil. I was wondering if I could make lipbalms with it? Here are the ingredients in the Apricot Baby Oil. (there is nearly no smell) and it says 98.00% natural. Ingredients: Apricot Kernel Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Wheatgerm Oil, tocopheryl acetate & tocopherol (vitamin E), rosemary extract, beta-carotene, fragrance. Any ideas on how to make a lipbalm with it if you think I could give it a go?
BLSoaps
I would say no, simply because of the fragrance oil that's listed. Most fragrance oils aren't safe for use in lip balm products. Apricot Kernel Oil would be good in a lip balm though. Obviously you'll need to balance it out with some kind of wax (beeswax, candellilia, etc), and probably some harder oils. Christine Flapp
I made cuticle cream with it--excellent results.

hawaiiansun
I wouldn't, but try and let us know how it turns out. Fragrance oil and lips don't go well together.
maryann
98% natural hmmmm....... if your a risk taker you could always dab some on your lips and see what happens. Making it to sell risky (w/ the FO in it), but for yourself why not. Your could use it in a lotion bar too as the ingredients sound so nourishing.
