bunkie68
I've got a recipe for bubble bars that calls for glycerin and a liquid surfactant. I've found what I need at the Chemistry Store, but only in large quantities. I don't want to invest a lot of money into supplies until I see if the recipe works for me. Any suggestions as to where I could find these in smaller quantities (as in, less than a gallon)?
Michi
Try MMS or Lotion Crafters, WSP, Oregon Trails, Brambleberry, etc. There are lots of suppliers that sell in smaller quantities.

soapermom
wsp usually has small options of everything like glycerin in around a 16 oz bottle. you can also get glycerine in drug stores and craft stores at times( at a much higher price)I dont know what surfactant you are looking for? bunkie68
Soapermom, the recipe just calls for liquid surfactant, so it's not very specific. I'd looked at cocamidopropyl betaine, as I'd seen it mentioned in another bubble bar formulation, but if someone knows of one that's more suitable, I'm open to suggestions. bunkie68
I found a site that had everything I was looking for: http://www.theherbarie.com. It had glycerin, various kinds of surfactants, preservatives, citric acid - my order is on the way, and once it's here, it will be a bubble bar extravaganza at my house! Christine Flapp
I'm a loyal customer for years at www.gardenofwisdom.comThis is the only supplier who lets you order small amounts of anything listed. Excellent prices, fast shipping; mention you are a board member.
scentsme
www.wholesalesuppliesplus.comand I believe they still have $5.95 or $6.95 flat rate shipping for orders $25 and under.
