Wick'n'Wax
Hi,I have some clamshells to use to make melts. Can I use Ecosoy Pillar Blend (have some I won't be using?) or does it have to be container.I'm edging towards pillar, because they actually come out of the clamshell as opposed to burning in a container? Scent Cellar
Ecosoya Pillar blend is what I use in my clamshells and it works well.
Wick'n'Wax
excellent, thanks Jan
kandlekrazy
I've used the pillar before also and it works great. The Ecosoya container is way too soft...even if it comes out of the mold, it smears when packaging.
NattyCat
I use a container and Pillar wax blend. I find that pillar on it's own is too hard for the weedy tealight oil burners we can get in this country, and they don't melt enough or get hot enough, but container is too soft.Use pillar but chuck a handful or two of container in there just to soften them up a bit to melt easier with a tealight.Nat

Wick'n'Wax
Quick question....do you tend to have to repour with clamshells?I'm using 2.5oz per clamshell and I've used it all on the first pour suppose I'll find out in a while lol
Wick'n'Wax
no shrinkage so far.I'm planning on leaving these open for 24hours, then closing the lids. They won't be needed for 8weeks so plenty of curing time. Is 24hours enough for them to not sweat when I fasten them up?Hubbys getting a tad upset with things hanging around in his kitchen hehe
