tangerine Posted September 14, 2007 Author Share Posted September 14, 2007 The soap that I feel is drying on the skin was made August 1st. The good batch was made two days later. I ran the recipe through soapcalc and MMS's lye calculator and lye amounts are ok. My sister and I occasionally have skin reactions to particular FO's - maybe that's going on. Also, if you've only tried the one time, I've noticed that some days my water may be dramatically different in quality - i.e. poorer than usual - which makes a difference too.
