dawnbyrne
Would I be safe to assume that if two specific wicks burn properly in an 8 oz. apothocary that they will also work in a 16 oz. apothocary ( the only thing different is the size of the jar ):undecided
Guest Candelishis
Nope. You're never safe to assume anything You know the old saying. If the jar is bigger around, you'll need to wick up accordingly. Bigger jars need bigger wicks.
tootie04
The bigger jars are deeper. So the wicks that worked in the shorter jar MAY not work in the deeper jar. You do have a good starting point though. Start with what works in the shorter jar and make sure you test that deeper jar ALL the way to the bottom.tootie
Brenda (OH)
You would think that the same wick size would work, and it may indeed. You just need to test to be sure. With the 16 oz being taller than the 8 oz then an air flow issue comes into play about 1/2 way into the jar.
Guest Candelishis
Oh, yeah, if your jar is the same diameter, you might be ok. I for some reason, made my own assumption that your 8 ouncers were smaller around than your 16 ouncers. My bad.
grama
I have found that on my 16oz apoth jars I have to go up one size from my 10oz apoth jars. I guess it is the depth factor:undecided
