Georgia
I guy I used to work with ordered candles from me all the time. He got fired earlier this year. I ran into him at Walmart and he ordered 4 more candles. He even paid me then and there (which was ironic because I always had to remind him when I saw him every day). Anyway, I e-mailed when they were ready. Told him when I would be home, the weekend show I would be doing, offered to drop them off. A few weeks later I e-mailed again and reminded him that I still had his candles. The last e-mail I got was in May saying he would stop in work and pick them up. They have been sitting in my cubicle since then. How long do I have to look at this box before I just return them to stock?
Candybee
Can you mail them to him? If you have his address or know where he can be reached I would drop him a note. Send him another email and ask for a mailing address.
Stella1952
You could politely tell him that you need to move them out so to please meet you or you will have to return his candles to stock. I wouldn't pay the mailing expense if he hasn't paid for it, especially since you have hung on to them for so long...
Scented
Any idea where he lives? Maybe home delivery?
debscent
Can you call him? If he was fired from his job and is trying to save money he may have cut his internet. He's paid for the candles, and how much would shipping be? Sometimes taking the extra step and a few dollars is worth it. He's been a repeat customer. sharyl55
Since he has already paid for them, I don't see how you can return them to stock. It is unfortunate. Maybe he has moved for a new job. I'd try e-mail again to see if you can reach him.
SherriLynn
My thoughts.... I'd give him a call in an attempt to make arrangements and exchange the candles. Whether he has paid for them or not, the time you've taken to contact him, plus "storage costs" eats up profit. Document your phone call and dicussion of arrangements to exchange the candles. If he doesnt' show up after that, his loss. Make copies of your attempts to email him plus all your other documentation and return the candles to stock. I looks like approx 90 days has transpired since this sale, well past any reasonable amount of time to pick up candles. I definately would not mail them to him, unless he send you money for shipping costs or he'll expect free shipping all the time should he order again. Just my two beans.
