wildangel112
DH has been driving me batty for the past few days wanting a Citronella lotion to combat the killer mosquitos at work. I've been reading and searching but have come across conflicting info, as to whether Citronella should be used alone. I'm considering a blend of Citronella, Lavender & Lemongrass since this is only for his use. Anyone think this may be enough to suit his needs and quiet him down :rolleyes2 ? I'm open to any and all opinions/suggestions, at this point. Rena
Meridith
You can buy a premade mix of EOs from OT that are said to be effective in repelling mosquitoes and insects. And it doesn't smell as bad as citronella IMO nor is it a feminine scent that a man would not wear. You can also use this in soap and body sprays. sassysoapsnsuch
My son is serving in Iraq second tour and i made a lotion and sent it to him with Citronella, Lavender, Lemongrass , patchouli and either sandlewood or texas cedar. He likes the texas cedar better. I think it smells manly and the other soliders in his unit love it too. They have bad bitting buggies over there and they stay away now. wildangel112
Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to whip up a small batch with the eo's I have on hand and if that doesn't work for him, I'll order out the blend to try.
