melbo
hi I already make soy candles but I have been asked if I can make beeswax candles1. Do you use just straight beeswax or do you blend it with other waxes and other additives2. which brand of wick is best3. does the beeswax tend to take more or less scent4. Do you use the silicone molds or the metal pillar molds? (which is better for getting the candle out smoothly)thanksmelissa
doris
I use pure beeswax, bleached square wick, no fragrance, and silicone and rubber molds, except for the votive molds, which are metal. Beeswax already has a honey scent, so you might not want to use a lot of scent, or at least use one that works with honey.

I use a lot of BW type that almost has no scent at all. (would recommend NOT to scent it actually).4. Do you use the silicone molds or the metal pillar molds?
