victoriaj Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 HI, for the last two years i have been using parrafin wax, also i do like working with parrafin wax i like the creamy look of soy. I know it is possible to mix your own parasoy, but would it be possible to use mainly parrafin and just enough soy to give it a creamy look- what would be the least amount of soy you could add for a more creamy look, whilst still maintaining most of the properties of parrafin? would 70% parrafin, 30% soy work?Thankyou:highfive: Quote
lsbennis Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I have tested IGI 6006 and I think that is around an 80/20 Par/Soy ratio...I'm not positive so someone else can jump in if that is not correct. Quote
Candybee Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I mix my own parasoy blend. I have tried 70/30 soy/para and 75/25 soy/para and found them both to be acceptable blends.I am currently testing 50/50 parasoy I blended and really liking it. I am still getting that creamy look with no wet spots and great hot and cold scent throw.Haven't tried a mostly parafin blend. I don't see why you can't start by adding 20-25% soy to your parrafin and see how it works for you. Quote
