jakalex Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Decided to test some bugg buster candles for the 4th of July and decided to use the Glass Glow Palm Wax because of the higher melt point. Mixed a few EO's together that are recommended for repelling insects. I am waiting on a few EO pre-blends from Oregon and AGE...can't wait to try these! honebun Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 They look great, especially the buckets, grrrrr really grinds on me that we can't get stuff like that in the UK. Quote
jakalex Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 I purchased the buckets at Walmart in the craft section. $.97 each! The candles burned great here at home but won't stay lit at the beach house. I need to order some citronella wicks but not sure if they would stay lit either. MIL has bought citronella candles in the past and none of them stay lit at the beach house. The main reason I wanted to make them was for the beach because the mosquito's are so bad this time of year. Quote
Late Night Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Those are so cute. Like everyone else, love those buckets! Quote
