Seaglass Candle
I have only had success with zinc wicks in gel pc-cup tealights. The others just fizzled out before they got started. The only issue I had w/ the zinc wicks is that they tend to mushroom and get sooty. I put in my instructions to trim when this happens, and I got at least a 4 hour total burn from each cup. doglover
I have made the gel tea lights before, but also with zinc. When I tried the other wicks, (and even the zinc after time), tended to fall over and sink down into the gel. They seemed to burn okay though.
