arkangel
DH and I ate at Cracker Barrell this evening and they have an expanded B&B section now, including 'Grandma's Lye Soap'http://shop.crackerbarrel.com/online/shopping/Product.asp?cat%5Fid=14&sku=261826&mscssid=90UMFC0CW9W78NQ6M5HS563SX5FC1VWEAmong it's usual uses (laundry pre-treating etc), it said you could cut a chunk off, put it on a hook and use it as bait for catfish. What the heck??? Are they joking?? What kind of fish eats soap???? :undecided
dillypooh
Some people make that just for that reason. They put anise EO in the soap.It has been said that 100's of years ago people usedthis to catch cat's with. They love the scent:highfive:
LovelyLathers
I make a fishermans soap using Anise EO. I have regular customers who buy it and swear by it for Bullhead fishing, eels and Catfish. Then I package it with a coffee soap to help get rid of the fishy smell on their hands after cleaning them.
