If you add another 1.5 ounces the total comes to 17.5 oz.To find out what percentage the 1.5 comes out to be you need to divide 1.5 by 17.5 total which equals .085714 or 8.5714%Close enough to 9% I guess. You can think in terms of ounces per pound or think in terms of percentages, whichever you're most comfortable with, but they're two totally different methods and you don't really need to translate.1 oz pp does approximate 6% so you could say 1.5 oz pp is 1.5 x 6 = 9%.Judy has it right. Assuming you use just wax and FO (no additives), the actual percentages are 1 / 17 = 5.88% for 1 oz and 1.5 / 17.5 = 8.57% for 1.5 oz. The ounces-per-pound method doesn't handle additives well, so if you add stearic or something your FO percentages will be lower. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
