beau's mama
Has anyone ever used crushed minerals (like Bare essentials) in M&P soap? Is that similar to micas of oxcides? This sounds like a dumb question to me :undecided Sharon
Angel91805
Hey! No question is a dumb question!! OK...first....<gasp>....Bare Essentuals is pricey! Too pricey for soap!Now...having said that...I was putting on a greenish color yesterday (I wear BE exclusively).....and I thought...."Damn....that would make a nice swirl!" So...I'm waiting to see what the answer would be too....heheheHugs,Donna

I knw it was Bare something. The supplier that I get my M&P bases from sells her own brand of crushed minerals. Not pricy at all.I'm getting ready to order from her & thought I may try the minerals for colorant...I try to order all I can in one shot to save on shipping.Sharon
Angel91805
Yup...it's Bare Escentuals....spelled like that (wrong, basically!).....Lemme know if you need names of other mineral companies that are WAY cheaper than BE......I have just a few <coughcough> bookmarked. I know of at least one that offers free shipping and discounts.....
Alajane
Oh, I can't wait to try this! I have several Bare Escentuals colors that I don't wear (came in kits) and can't stand to just discard.
Ruina
Oh wow! That'd never occurred to me. I also have a few BE's that I don't use. I'm olive-toned and not all colors suit me. beau's mama, please let us know if that worked & how much of it you've used.R.
Casey
TKB Trading has a make your own mineral make up kit that I've had my eye on. Cents on the dollar compared to BE, which I love. I need more projects like I need a poke with a stick, but you should check it out!
