graywritingdog
I was looking for candle supplies on ebay and came across this. It looks like a jell candle, but she says only the top part burns. I'm thinking that she used the stuff that looks like water in floral arrangements. Acrylic I guess it would be.I don't see how this would be safe. Here's the item # just copy/paste in the search box on ebay. 170103329809
Candle Man
After looking at the site and other pictures it could be that. I saw bubbles in some of them so it could be gel wax, and after the candle was made, heated to remove the bubbles.Either way they look safe because, I saw a tea light embeded in the top of one of them. So I would guess the rest are that way, too.
graywritingdog
Yesterday when I came across this I asked if it was safe and was the bottom acrylic. Here's what was waiting in my inbox at ebay.DEAR JENNIFER SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET BACK TO YOU. NO THIS IS NOT AN ACRYLIC, IT IS OUR OWN FORMULA HOWEVER THE TOP PART IS GELL WAX AND IS REFILLABLE. IT HAS A MINNIMUM OF 80 HRS BURN TIME. TO SEE OUR OTHER WONDERFULL PRODUCTS PLEASE GO TO CANDLESCHOCOLATESANDSOAPS.COM really unique idea. She said that it's jell on top and refillable. So I don't think that it's anyhignt towith a tealight. She has some nice looking stuff on her website.
