Candle Makin Momma
Does hot glue work well for sticking wicks to glass? I am out of wick stickers and don't want to order just for them. I am going to be testing some flower pot votives.I have the hot glue from wal-mart
dpowell
I use hot glue to stick down wicks all the time and never had a problem.Good luck on the flower pot testing, I'm about ready to start doing that as well.
Maggie
I use the diamond chip glue from Michaels. In their flower arranging section they sell a little electric glue skillet/kettle and I've been using this for several years now. Someone talked about it on the KY messageboard so I went right out and bought one. I WAS using my glue gun but didn't like the strings...very seldom get those damn strings with the chips. When I put my jars in the oven to clean them, I have to use a butter knife to pry the wick tabs out of the jar. Maggie
Brenny
Hot glue is the only thing i use. I warm my jars and I let them set for a couple of minutes before I put the wicks in. The lowest setting on my oven is 170.
Patience
High temp hot glue for me too. (Swirl the gun in a circle after placing the glue where you want it. That will break any of those darn threads.)
