Scent Cellar
Where can I get one and how much are the 16 bar tray molds? I have been having trouble using my log molds which I really like when I use the Select Shades. When I use the Select Shades coloring the swirls on the top of the log are there but completely disappear in the center of the soap. Does gelling diminish the color or what's happening? I have only used the Select Shades one time .. maybe I need to try again.
Angel91805
Well...so far, for me....every time a gel happens, my pretty Select Shades colors morph into something vile. Just me, I'm sure.www.emistycreek.com I LOVE my 16 bar Misty Creek mold.Donna
Jcandleattic
I have never used Select Shades, so I am only speaking in general terms here, but a gel will actually help the colors stand out better in soap. My non-gelled soaps are the ones that have the muted tones to them. HTHJ
Angel91805
Well..not mine. So I wish I had your problem!Donna
eugenia
I never got great swirling until I started pouring in slab molds. Logs are tricky as they are deep.
mystical_angel1219
Treat yourself to a Misty Creek mold. I have had almost every mold out there. I get them, I hate them, and I sell them. I have both of the MC molds and I love them. Great molds, they are well built and swirlicious. LOL!!I am not a fan of Select Shades. The colors never seem to be the same after gel.I like Cybillas Celestial Colors and Between Friends micas and oxides. I just received some new colors from Oregon Trails but haven't been able to play with them yet.
Scent Cellar
I saw all the new colors at OT also. Be sure to post how you like them. I solved part of my problem by ordering a misty slab mold today so I will give the Select Shades another try.

mystical_angel1219
Thank you, Wonderfully Wicked. I didn't see her post before I hit enter.Cybilla is a joy to work with. She is going to college right now and looking to sell her color system. But her colors do remain true in CP soap.

Meridith
I just received some new colors from Oregon Trails but haven't been able to play with them yet.I've been eyeing those too. The colors look so vibrant and have been calling my name. I'd be interested hear how those do for you when you get around to playing with them. I'm so jealous. I love my Select Shade too. CareBear
I do well with my select shades! Once in blue moon I get something that doesn't work at all - but I've found that with every type of colorant I've tried.
