Wick'n'Wax
Anyone know the best way to get a rich gingerbread colour?I have butterscotch, raisin brown, vanilla. I know I could practice and see, but wondered if anyone had a tried and trusted method?
jazzbo848
i would mix the butterscotch and the raisin brown 1:1. if that is too dark, add a tinge of vanilla.i keep a white paper plate next to my color mixing place and drop the colored wax on it to test the color.another thought would be 2 butterscotch to 1 rb.cheryl

justcountry
i would use red and brown but you did'nt mention havuing red so I think you might find the brown by itself might do it
Candle Man
The way I found gingerbread color was to buy a gingerbread man cookie from the bakery then match that color. I use brown and orange more brown and a little orange. Don't start with much of either as you don't want a dark brown, then adjust from there. dabbledoya
I just colored a candle with 2 drops brown and 1 drop red per lb. It turned out a very nice rich caramelly color.
