How much FO in lotion base

Didn't seem to find this in a search... How much FO to add to a lotion base? I'd like to do a small 8oz batch to test.

The lotion base is the stuff from www.atwixend.com which I think is the SFIC lotion.

Well, it's neither here nor there, but I don't think that is a SFIC lotion base. I bought a sampler of all their bases and those list of ingredients do not match the ones I have from SFIC...which is neither here nor there...

Most bases I have seen say 1% per gallon....so for 8 oz would be about 2ml or 3/8 -ish of a teaspoon or about 40 drops.

I'm surprised it's not written right on the lotion base label. Usually, as far as I know, the norm would be 1/2 oz - 1 oz skin safe FO per gallon of unscented base. Starting with 1/2 oz & adding more if needed. So:

1 gal (128oz)base =add= 1/2 oz(.5) - 1 oz(1.0) FO

64 oz base =add=1/4(.25) - 1/2 oz(o.5) FO

32 oz base =add= 1/8 oz(.125) - 1/4(.25) oz FO

16 oz base =add= 1/16 oz (0.625)- 1/8 oz(.125) FO

8 oz base =add= 1/32 oz(.03125) - 1/16(.0625) oz FO
