tamsoycandles
Did some beeswax votives over the weekend. That stuff is great! It came out of the molds with zero effort and minimal wait time. And, they look fantastic too!Now for the more challenging part.... wicking.... I got close with an HTP, but the wick drowns out eventually. I've got some more test wicks on the way. Wish me luck!Tony

I think I do have some LX 16 from sample packs I bought. I'm also going to try the wicks you recommended for the pillars too, as soon as my wicking gets delivered. Thanks!Tony
LaurieF
Are LX16 wicks cotton? I assume you have no problem putting them in the votive hole? My HTP's are to fat and I don't think they would burn hot enough anyway.

ChrisR
I have no problems with LX wicks fitting in the wick pin holes. Here's a description I found on the LX wicks:The LX series wick is a flat braided wick stabilizing threads and a special treatment. It is designed to improve the burning of solid scented, solid colored votives, and container and pillar candles. The LX series offers solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton yarn, advanced treatment that is designed to reduce after glow, smoke and coking (soot), and self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates blooming (mushrooming).
