IndyGirl
I poured 1 24 oz container I had sitting around in Home Sweet Home. It should be set up and ready to burn around 8pm..........I'm so excited to light that sucker up!

Gdawg
how exciting, is it crakeling like I have read about? It would be so cool to be able to offer wood wicks in the candle
IndyGirl
It does make a sizzling kind of sound sort of! Here's a link to the pic I just took.http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q6/vparr367/MVC-706S.jpg
jakalex
How do you anchor the wicks to the jar?
IndyGirl
You don't.......Pour the candle without the wick and when it's cooled you push a trimmed wick to the bottom. Your supposed to have just 1/4 in sticking out. I topped my candle off after I inserted it. It's doing great! My husband thinks it's pretty! Gdawg
that is neat. Is there any smoke that it gives off. Wondering what happens also when it gets to the bottom since it is not anchored in, very interesting can't wait to see the results
IndyGirl
No smoke at all and throwing very well.
warmvanilla
I can't wait to read your results to see if the wick will stay put.I love your jar!The candle does look very pretty!
IndyGirl
It's a pretty big jar I put 24 oz wax in it! I think I got this one at dollar tree. it's not my standard jar............just for me! I'm going to blow it out now and re-light it tomorrow. Still looks great after some 3 hours. The flames getting a bit larger but, so did my regular wicks after a long burn time. Melt pool depth looks perfect. I just want to see it get to the fat part of that jar.

IndyGirl
2nd burn started at about 8 am todayafter 4 hoursthe melt pool is near the outer edge of the glass. The flame settled down after a little while and is burning nice and even. Still looks pretty and is smelling great! I kind of messed up my melt pool......have a little hang up on the side because I set it on the window sill (cold) while cooking....duh I know that would happen. But, it should catch back up in a while.
