dirtybirdsoaps Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I need help, I need to try to come up with a Vegan milk bath. Obviously I can't use powdered milk due to it being dairy and I've never seen a soy powdered milk???? Then there's coming up with a recipe which isn't that hard but looking for advice and help any would be appreciated. Quote
sockmonkey Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Why can't you do a coconut milk bath? Quote
soycrazy Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 NOW makes soy powder http://www.nowfoods.com/?action=itemdetail&item_id=12608 you can try your health food section at your grocery store or whole foods. You can also try rice milk powder too. Quote
sockmonkey Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Would a bath made with honey powder be out of the question? You can google recipes for milk baths and come up with lots of ideas. Quote
LaVida Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 most Vegans don't do honey either.... I do and I follow a basic vegan diet...(ok, off and on)... but I don't count honey...*l* One of the places I ordered Coconut Milk from did have dairy in it..... I wear animal, but dont consume it.. Quote
soycrazy Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Yup no honey. I wish there were more vegan products out there, I think there is market for it. You have to read the ingredients pretty good, because a lot of companies sneak it in. Quote
dirtybirdsoaps Posted January 11, 2007 Author Posted January 11, 2007 Thanks for the advice I'll definitely look into those products, I'm just trying to come up with as many vegan products as I can to target that area especially because of my family and half the products we've bought have been too oily or too dry and haven't smelled the best either. Why can't the vegans have a variety too.....soooo I'm trying to give it to them. Quote
LaVida Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 There's a lot of Vegan Friendly ingred's sites than you would think.... you just have to take the time to find those VF ingred's..... Quote
soycrazy Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Well I think it's great your doing that, because for me it's hard to find in my area. I know that's why I started making my own stuff, but I order from people too. I've been addicted to etsy lately with purchasing vegan soap Quote
dirtybirdsoaps Posted January 12, 2007 Author Posted January 12, 2007 I actually just started posting some of my items on etsy I never heard of it before until I started googling soap supplies and found it to be a great site.
