Today I made my first container candle with paraffin. I have a question. When the first pour was cooled, it was nice and smooth on top, just that it needed a slight repour. But, once I did the repour, and it cooled, it was no longer smooth. It looks weird, kinda like wrinkles in the wax. Not sure how to describe it. I didn't add anything besides fragrance and color.

The wax is from genwax, and there are no specific directions for it on their site, and nothing came with the wax either, kinda weird...

Anyone??

I did a search, and found a thread about 'wrinkly' wax, and that it could mean there's too much vybar in the wax.

I will try another one in a few days or so. And see if the same thing happens again.

Sounds like too much vybar. Brain effect. You should be able to zap that away with a heat gun. I don't use genwax wax so if it's a preblend well you might ask them about it. If it's not and you added vybar, add less next time. Either way, contact Genwax and have them give you the specs on your wax.

Thanks for the reply Scented. No, I didn't add any vybar to the wax. I'll contact them and see about them emailing me specific instructions. I didn't think of that before...:embarasse
