Guest Pot Licker
Posted

I have bees wax that has a great quantity of dirt, (apparently the previous owner just melted it and poured it on the ground) some of the dirt settles but how can I clean the wax to have a dirt free product? Thanks for your help

You'll want to filter your wax. People use panty hose, paper towels or even coffee filters. Often it's easiest to put the filter material into a strainer and pour through that.

Beeswax is viscous and it sounds like yours is pretty dirty. A slightly more heavy duty material I like for this purpose is the nylon filter fabric that the beekeeping suppliers sell. I think it's used for filtering honey and works well for wax too.

Good luck.
