ladysj Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 For those of you who have made this what are your thoughts on it. I'm just curious as to the pro's/con's on it and how you liked it. TIA Quote
maryann Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 I had no problems w/ it and use it for a facial bar. I added no color and used an EO plus face loving oils/butters. I added the pureed cuke at trace. The cuke was green for approx a week then turned a little.Cons I don't know of any. Quote
maryann Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Another thing after I pureed it, I strained the "juice" and used it as part of my water amount in my lye with no problems. I used the whole cucumber- medium in size for a 2lb batch. Quote
SoapLady Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I made a cucumber soap last summer and want to do it again. I pureed one of those "seedless" cukes and used it for half the liquid (buttermilk for the other half). The peel left tiny green specks. It started out a very pale green but turned yellow over time. Lots of people adored that soap. Now that I have more consistency in my recipes, I want to try again and see if I notice a difference in the soap. Quote
thecandlespastore Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I made some cuke some and love it. I added an entire pureed cucumber at trace. It's still green and very skin loving. I made anothe rbatch and added SC's Econocuke to it, yummy! Quote
