As of now, I just do all of my labels and designs with Microsoft Word, but there is only so much that can be done with that. What graphic design software is the best for making your own labels, editing photos to put on a website (adding white background, cut/paste items from pics, etc.) and for overall graphics? Thanks, Crystal

The good software truely has to be learned before you will like it. Paint Shop Pro is a good program, a little less expensive than Adobe photoshop, and for all intents and purposes, it does the same thing. But, again, it must be learned, and it is really awesome if you can find someone who can show you how to do things too.. however, there are some really good tutorials all over the internet that will help you learn to do some VERY cool things with either of those programs.

If you just fork over the money for the programs, install them, and expect to sit there and create a label, I'm afraid you will be very very disappointed, and probably feel like you got completely ripped off.

I use 2 different programs in combination to make my labels and websets, and I know other folks who use 3 different programs. I would suggest downloading a trial version of PSP or PS and trying them out to see if it might be something you think you could learn or like, and go from there. If it's not what you're looking for, then you might try some logo making software like the Logo Creator, or AAA Logos which will make some really good logos, but won't be what you need to edit and manipulate your photos.

Good Luck!

Well I guess I've not been looking or reading in the right place lmao I have photoshop and haven't figured anything out with it yet and I had the trial of paint shop pro couldn't do anything with it either. I'm a show me kind of person. Guess I'll see if I can find some tutorials on them.

I just got photoshop elements 5 for xmas. It's definatly a learning experience but I have done quite a bit with it just in the past couple days, google is your friend. The software has a help file included but no books or instructions really, if you register you do get 10 free tutorials from adobe. I also bought the book "Photoshop Elements: Missing Manual" which has a lot of good info in it. I put a banner I made just playing around in the member photos section if you want to see. I haven't tried it for making any labels but for pictures it's great.

I paid 119 and have a $30 rebate to send in for PSE and premiere elements bundle, so it's no where near the 700 real photoshop I wanted but I'm happy. The premiere is for video editing, my camera also takes videos so I needed something to help clean those up and it's great.

I use three different programs Photo Shop, PSP 7 and PSP 8. Somethings are easier to do in one program then toss it over to another program to do other things....
