Hillary Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I'm not a fan of lavender scents at all so I wouldn't know a good one if jumped out at me. I've heard lavender can be a bit overwhelming sometimes so I guess I would be looking for something soft or subtle. Any recommendations? TIA Quote
guppygirl Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I'm a huge fan of lavender so I can tell you to stay away from BCN's lavender if you don't want it to be overwhelming LOL!You can try KY's Lavender Vanilla which is more of a subtle baby scent though not quite lavender IMO. Also for a diff. lavender try SWs English Lavender.HTH! Quote
jldorrington Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 everyone who smells my stuff really likes ng's lavender i dunno i'm so tired of smelling it i don't pay attention Quote
Holly Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 These are the ones that have worked for me in soy:Lavender Vanilla - MillcreekLavender Fields - The Scented BeanLavender in Bloom - BluegrassLavender Lullaby - Candle Cocoon -- seems more of a purfumy lavender to me but is is very niceI also like the smell of English Lavender from Candlemakers Store and English Lavender from Aroma Haven. I have not yet burned these though. I do like the smell of Peaks Lavender too. I think I am forgetting one or two....will post them if I remember them. Quote
MissyK Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I'm not a lavender fan either but I love Lavender Basil from BCN.Missy Quote
classylady71118 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I second the Lavender Basil, it's a softer blend, VERY nice scent! Quote
Laura Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 the BNL (at BCN)lavender basil is good, the straight lavender (BCN) is like the real thing and strong...you can make a nice lavender vanilla with the vanilla velvet..or try the WYW lavender & sweet basil, also at BCN Quote
grama Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I also like the lavender basil and have made candles in it. I have lavender fields from wsp and it smells good oob but haven't made it yet in anything. My favorite so far though is lavender & chamomile from Cierra. hth Quote
Purple Lilac Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Lavender Breeze from the Candle Makers store is a nice one as well. Quote
Hillary Posted January 5, 2007 Author Posted January 5, 2007 Wow, thank you everyone. I'll have to put together an order and give a couple of these a try. Quote
Gravity Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 NG's Downy Vanilla Lavender type.... nice and soft... well, after it's set up.. it's gag-worthy while pouring... but what lavender isn't? Quote
Scented Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Late to the suggestion gate, but Peak's lavender ... .5 oz is enough in anything otherwise expect a lavender high that isn't always pretty ... (inside joke), but this is the best lavender I have run across. Quote
kari357 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Cobblestone (lavendar with woodsy undertones) from Candlewic, strong but well liked by others. I love it! Quote
cbarber03 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I just tested and was quite pleased with CandleScience's Lavender. Not knock you out strong, so that's a plus in my book (I'm not a lavender fan) so I can stand to pour it. HTH Quote
Ring of Fire Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 English Lavender, RA/AHLavender Milk, TCS Quote
Candlebuddy Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 True Lavender & Lavender Milk ... both from TN. Flickers carries a French Lavender; very nice. Quote
