gmp Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I had read a thread somewhere recently about the importance of not only keeping your wicks trimmed, but to get a clean sharp trim, not a sloppy jagged edged trim. Well, knowing that has made a world of difference in my testing! I went from billows of smoke to a happy flame in a matter of minutes.I just wanted to say thanks for the info! Quote
SatinDucky Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Wow! I'd never heard that. I guess just snapping the black part off doesn't count. I guess I'll have to try actually cutting the wick and see what happens. Thanks Quote
DonnaP Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I learned from the very beginning especially with gel candles...turn your candle upside down..an clip the wick with either toenail clippers or tiny sharp sissors. Not only do you get a pretty little flame but...that nasty black stuff doesn't fall into your candle. Quote
