Palm stearic = palm wax?

I popped into the natural waxes section at Genwax today and was surprised to see that they're selling palm stearic as "100% palm wax" for making candles with a crystal finish.

Is it at least somewhat true that palm candle wax and palm stearic are the same thing?

There are different "palm waxes" even though all are derived from raw palm oil (different oil types from palm nut or fruit) - they can be processed to have a different percentage of acids, etc. So, AFAIK, they aren't the same, at least chemically.

yeah i saw this too, but they also say something like these are for novelty candles and they are not intended to be burned.
