Lightning Bug
Hi. Have any of you used a pillar blend to make grubby candles? TIA, Beth
Kaybee23
If you are pouring these into a silicone mold, I am not sure how well the soy pillar wax is going to hold up, trying to get them out of the molds. You may have better luck with a paraffin for those. Maybe someone who has actually done them will come along and give you a more informed answer. Carriegsxr6
I dont think it is possible to make grubby candles with any soy wax. I have tried to use silicone molds with both container and pillar soy waxes and they just crumble when i try to take them out of the mold. I have even tried blending the two together and no luck. Lightning Bug
Well, that's too bad. I think they are so cute and seem like something I would love to add to containers. Oh well, at least I didn't order the mold yet! Thanks for the info. Beth
Blest2BAmerican
I made a test electric grubby using soy pillar wax and though it looked great, it didn't old up when I tested the strength of it. I crumbled and broke in half.
