ladysj
When you add mica's to your soap is it mixed in a separate little batch like the oxides and clays or are they done differently?
Purple Lilac
I use my mica's the same way I do my oxides
blazerina
Mica's tend to clump... some colors worse than others. It is usually recommended that you put them into a small dish with your FO and stir it in to that FIRST, then add to melted base.
Kaybee23
I usually stir mine in with about a tbsp of my melted oils, then incorporate into the soap I am going to use it in.
Sherie
I mix mine in some of the melted oils or glycerin. If I'm going to swirl, I pour off about a portion (4 oz. or so) of my soap mixture (after I've added the lye water to my oils) and stick blend it just a bit and then swirl with it.
