Julie G.
I picked up a package of 4 metal sauce cups from the dollar store today, (in the kitchen utinsels isle) to try and make votives with. Has anyone ever used these before? They are just a tad shorter than a votive mold, but a little bit wider. I just thought it might make an intersting and different size votive. I have some glass votive holders that are wider, so i think they would fit. I was just curious if anyone has used these before and how they turn out. Sandi
I have used them and you are right they do turn out shorter and wider than the usual votives. I use one as a holder to burn the candle in as the regular votive holders are too small. I used them like you would any metal holder by spraying mold release before pouring. CraftyChris
I've heard of people using them to make floating votive candles. I have a ton of those I use to reserve top off with, but have never tried to float one yet.
