Anna
It may be my imagination, but after I added the liq dye to the wax after I had stirred the fo,the dye seemed to have changed the scent.Use two dyes from differant companys(sp?).Has this every happen to anyone? SatinDucky
Did it change with one dye and not the other, or do you just have two different ones to try. Just mixing FO in wax can make the scent change too...
Anna
I don't know which dye changed the scent.right before i poured I smell the wax and it smell like fuel. The wax didn't like that before I added the dye. Anna
Fire and Ice
What scent were you pouring? Have you poured this scent before? If it was a citrus based scent, they can often give a fuel smell.

Georgia
I've noticed that my liquid dye smells - in the bottle and in the pot. But it has never changed the scent in the candle. What does your candle smell like?

What does your candle smell like?I've always used blocks and recently bought a set of liquids. They stink to high heaven, but not in the candle.e
debscent
Are you opposed to adding the FO after the scent? I use liquid and it does not change my FO at all, but I add dye first.
Nicky
Liquid dye does have an awful smell to it. But it goes away as the wax is drying.
kuepie
I use blocks and have noticed that certain colors smell like fuel. And maybe it's me, but I think Jamacia Me Crazy has a fuel scent to it. So as not to be anymore confusing, I think it is certain fo's that put the smell of fuel in wax not the dye, no matter if liquid or block. My opinion, and you know what people say about those.
