lara107
Hi everybody.I bought a ball metal mould (in 2 pieces) but am having problems sealing it. What do you do when you make ball candles? It leaks in the middle and it gets so hot it melts the sealer I have. Maybe I should pour colder wax, what do you think?Lara
slyfoxy46628
What temp are you pouring at?
Scented
Is it one of the saturn molds? Because I've found that one, get a new seal and two, add more clips around the middle to get a tighter seal.
prcandles
I had the same problem with the two piece mold too. We bought the small binder clips similar to the ones that came with the mold. I have used up to 8 of them on one mold and that seemed to hold the wax in. The only thing about the mold I don't like is the seam around the middle. I am no where near good enough to get rid of it! good luck tho.

Scented
Here is a picture of the molds, nothing came with it, no clips.LaraUse rubber bands and see if that helps. OTherwise tape it to death around the seams.

sugarysweet95
I have this trouble with a platic mould and it didn't have any room for clips! I found that i had two choices for using it, either i poured wax at a cooler temp so it set quicker, or i poured it over chunks, which cools the wax and makes a nice effect.
