Meridith
Anybody ever put luffa in your soap and if so, what do you think of it? TIA.
Maltesima
Hey Meridith!Do you want to use a whole luffa or ground luffa? I have used ground luffa. I made a two lb. batch and added 2 tbsp at medium trace. I thought it was okay. I have pretty sensitive skin and thought it was a bit too scratchy for me....but, the bottoms of my feet loved it. I am known in these parts as "The shoeless wonder.":laugh2: Another thing I was thinking is to make a layered soap. One layer would be smooth and one layer with luffa. Whaddya think? The smooth side to wash with and the ground luffa side to scrub with. Yep, that is on my "To Do List." LOL
mystical_angel1219
Do you mean Loofah? I was given an awesome foot soap that contained loofah particles. Its a great exfoilant on rough areas. I don't know about the whole body, its a pretty rough texture.
Meridith
Its called Luffa - I got it from MMS and its a very fine powder that is " a natural exfoliating additive" for soaps and scrubs. I think the idea of a layered soap sounds great. Hmmmm .... I see another project for me too. Thanks for the suggestion.
