lindsaycb
your bulk bags of Lye?I've only found pricing through Hydrite & they have a $150 minimum. So I need to purchase two bags & a bag of citric acid. But right now I just don't need all that. It took me two years to go through the first bag! (more so because of my fear of it.)Does anyone in WI need a bag of lye? $.925/lb for a 55lb bag
Meridith
Isn't BCN in Wisconsin? They sell lye and smaller amounts too so that might work better for you. Also, check with local places like Lowes or smaller hardware stores that might be willing to order it for you.
lindsaycb
Oh the price is just hugely different though from hardware stores to BCN compared to bulk bags. I'm spoiled with the price on a 55lb bag really, under $1 a lb and I don't have to pay for shipping. BCN's is $5.95 for 2lb can...or hardware stores is under $4 a can. Scent Cellar
Lindsay, I get a 50 lb bag of lye for less than $43 from a gal up in northern Wisconsin. She actually delivered it to my front door for that price.

But I understand not wanting to spend the money on the smaller amounts and buying in larger quantities to save $$.

stacien
If you are in Wisconsin what about the Fleet Farms? They seem to have everything under the sun. I get mine a Home Depot. Some of It does come under the name drain cleaner but I check to make sure it is 100% SH.
