bugsb1
Ok I'm at my wicks end (lol) I have been trying to wick amber Romance and so far evrything I use drowns. I'm using a mix of j223, IGI 4786 and have tried several wicks with no luck8 oz jelly jar - 44Z, htp93,lx18 no luck8 oz 3.5" mouth short jar. - This jar I've tried all the 44z, HTP 83,93, lx 18-21 with no luck, I've tried double wicking this with all these and still cannot get a good burn, they start nice however, after about an hour the flame starts to fade away. I'm afraid that if I put a huge wick I'm going to run into the problems with the jar getting too hot. any suggestions?? Thanks
julie
I haven't used that fo or that combination of wax but use j223 but in the 8oz jar I have used a 50z or up to a lx 24 w/ some of the tougher fragrances. Julie
firstlady
I haven't used that wax nor that fo, but maybe a 51 z will work, a lot have said they use that size in a 8 oz jj. this site " wick suggestion site" might help. http://server.com/WebApps/db-view.cgi?id=71493
nay2120
I use the 8oz wide mouth JJ, and I use HTP 104/105. Depends on the FO.I use the HTP 93 for my 4oz JJ. I find that my Fall scents are heavier oils, and take a bigger wick.I have only been making candles for about 1 yr, and even newer to Soy.Renee
