Anna
tonite.I had hot glue some wicks in jars, and later decided not to use the jars,I prised (sp?)the wicks loose, pulled the hot glue off the tab,put wick stickums on them.Wicked 6 jars with them, pour the hot wax, pulled the wicks tight, and guess what, the tabs came loose from the stickums. All six of them!I'm not going to tell you what came out of my mouth.Lesson learned!! Breanna
I like Hot glue much better then the wickums. I have not had much luck with the wickums so I decided to go back to my Hot Glue Gun as it saves me money and it works too. Sorry you had a hard time tonight. :undecided
Candlebuddy
Silicone works very well. You can buy it at Walmart. The tube is about $3.00 and seems to last forever. I've tried hot glue and wickums, but like the silicone best.
hawaiiansun
I've never had problems with stick ums. That's a bummer
jillgunter
I make sure I push on them very well to make sure they are secure. Maybe they didnt stick well from the hot glue being on jars first. Never had one come undone.
Anna
I use wick stickums with no problem, but they didn't stick to the wick tab b/c I had reused wicks that had dried hot glue on them.Sorry this was so confusing.I was so p$#ed last night for trying to pinch a penny.Maybe today will be better.Happy Labor to everyone. mystical_angel1219
I have never had an issue with wick stickers. Unless they were of inferior quality or the jar had dust or debris in it. I have bought wick stickers from about every supplier and BCN has the best quality and price. No glue gun for me- thats too much like work! darlascandles
I learned that not all suppliers have the same wick stickums, even tho they call them that.........BCN has the BEST and I've never ever had one come loose.....as a matter of fact.....I've changed my mind on a jar on occasion, and couldn't GET it loose! lol
Scentologist
I have to agree competely with Darlascandles. The wick stickums from BCN work great for me as well. Never come aloose. I ran out of them once and tried the hot glue. I had jars that I decided not to use and later when I did get ready to use them, the hot glue had come a loose and stuck to the tab so I had to peel it off and do it all over again and use them right away. I will not use anything else but BCN wick stickums.
