hornermomof3
Yesterday I poured about 20 candles, and the tops are rough looking. It was not the same batch of candles. Each was an individual pour. Diffrent colors, scents. As I poured them yesterday I remember they all had an oily film at the top. Any suggestions???(wax was cargill c-4)
snow
Hi, I'm still new but I had that happen once and I think it was from to much FO. But what do I know, I had poured vanilla and its a heavier oil. But I don't use that wax. Dee
Accents
So many things affect soy. Temps pouring, speed of pouring, room temp, speed of cooling, etc. Can you tell us a little more, when you added FO, how much FO, and pouring temp? By a rough top, is it flat but looks like little air holes all over, or is it a larger roughness like cauliflower? I've never heard of a C-4, though. Is Cargill making a new wax, or was that a typ-o?
