littysmom
Hi, I was loooking thru some of the old discussions on problems with wax ending up with sink holes. I read that you poke relief holes in the wax. Can someone explain exactly what I need to do. I am not sure how deep, what to poke it with when to poke it. Also I am using 8 oz jelly jars, is the wick 51-32-18z to big?? Also i am using parifin wax. I bought form an Amish candle store. I asked what kind it was and they just said parafin. I notice that almost everyone has a name or a number of the wax that they are using. is it important that i should know this?? Any and all info appreciated for the newbie Thanks a bunch lisa
rachf19
Look at the "Basic Instructions" section to the left... will give you step-by-step instructions for pillars, container and votives. The "numbers" of the wax you are using idetify they type of wax and the manufacturer, which is important because each type of wax behaves in different ways. Very helpful when you ask questions and ask for advice based upon what you have done and the result you have achieved.HTH,
