ChrisR
Pryme Dyes are still the best for black candles for me and Daph is great to work with!! http://www.barnloftcandles.com/soy_dyes.html
TwinMom
I use Voyageur Soap and Candle -their black liquid dye
candlebean
I use Peak's black liquid dye and have never had a problem getting a true black color. I use a para/soy blend and use 14 drops of black per pound of wax to get a nice black color.
jenniejr
I use Peak's liquid dyes too and never have a problem getting a rich, true black. Like candlebean said, about 14 drop p/p of wax.
candlebean
Totally off topic, but I just thought it was funny how many Jen's replied to this thread! Hehehe - oh the little things in life that make me laugh.-Jen
Laura
BCN's black powder gives a good dark black without clogging the wick...and to lighten the color, add more wax...next time if you use liquids, try a toothpick swirl if you only need a hint of color
