Terrie
What wax are you using? I never use less then 1 oz of FO per pound of wax. I've never used FOs from candlechem, so can't vouch for their quality. Have you let the candles cure? When did you make them?
nuriadc8
I made them today and as I said I used for each 4 ounces of wax, 1/2 ounce of fo's . This because of different scents for each candle that I'm using.
Beth-VT
If you used 1/2 oz of FO for each 4oz. candle you made, that's the equivalent of 2oz./lb. wax. In most cases that's too much, which can actually lock up the scent. Also, if you just made them today, cover them and let them cure for a few days, you'll probably notice a difference in scent throw. However, when you burn them I would expect significant smoking and difficulty in wicking with that high of a percentage of FO. Try cutting back to 1/4oz. per 4oz. candle (1oz/lb) to start and see what happens.
Terrie
I misread your post. I agree with Beth that 1/2 oz of FO per 4oz wax is overload. If your wax needs that much FO, move on! LOL!
topofmurrayhill
I wonder if those are safe to burn down to the bottom. That's a lot of FO.
