don't know why

Recommended Posts

If you used 1/2 oz of FO for each 4oz. candle you made, that's the equivalent of 2oz./lb. wax. In most cases that's too much, which can actually lock up the scent. Also, if you just made them today, cover them and let them cure for a few days, you'll probably notice a difference in scent throw.

However, when you burn them I would expect significant smoking and difficulty in wicking with that high of a percentage of FO. Try cutting back to 1/4oz. per 4oz. candle (1oz/lb) to start and see what happens.
