silverm00n
Ok haven't asked a stupid question in awhile so... What do retailers mean when they say their candles are "tripled scented?" Is it that they mix 3 scents, or there are 3 dif layers of scents? TY!
Ring of Fire
It is a marketing ploy and nothing else.
tangerine
The industry standard used to be 0.5 oz of FO per pound of wax. Now wax can hold up to 1.5 oz per pound of wax. So as a marketing ploy, some manufacturers say their candles are triple-scented. Others make 3-layer candles and call them triple-scented. Crafty1_AJ
They're trying to tell you it's a highly-scented, strong candle. I just tell my new customers that you can smell my candles when they're burning from at LEAST 3-6 feet away, as long as they're out of a draft, and they are satisfied with that!
