Melly
Could someone please give me a detailed description on how to do this without melting the buggers. It seems as soon as i place enough heat on them to move the shrink wrap, it melts the votive. It's also bubbling in ugly patterns rather then being smooth and proffessional looking. I have my heat gun on low, and am lightly moving around the votive from a few inches away. This is the 4 inch shrink wrap tubing from Packco. Scented
Are you poking any holes in the shrink wrap before applying the heat? If not, do so In addition, start with one side, shrink it, go to the opposite side, shrink it and then zap what you didn't do. Poke any corners inwards as you go. Melly
i was poking 3 or 4 holes on one side and in the corner, maybe i should do a few more? I have a bunch of votives that need to be remelted and repoured, guess i will practice on those, do you do a second on one side a second on the other and back and forth? or one side at a time? Is low setting the proper setting for the heatgun?
Scented
We do a side at a time and then the back and forth stuff to smooth out anything that needs it. I poke like three rows of holes with a pin or needle lol. The heatgun I've got only has one setting. Try holding that gun out a little further and see if it helps any. MommaD
Seriously, I had to just like, run the gun over it, about a foot away from it, just quickly passing it over the package. That seemed to be what worked best for me. Just keep doing that until it was how you wanted it.

Scented
Where can I buy the shrink wrap for votives?thanks:)It's tubing we're using. You can get a good deal from packco. The 3" tubing was like $25 for a roll, but if you spend that much you get free shipping, well you used to. I am guessing she's still doing that lol.www.packcoinc.comOh and the tubing isn't listed on the site, but they have it.
