Sherie
I have a gel question for all you "super" soapers. I soaped a new recipe this morning and it's almost been an hour since I finished. I took a quick peep and it doesn't appear to be gelling yet. How long can it take to gel? And, is it a bad thing if it never gels?
diamondk
I was told at one time can't remember when or who but it doesn't have to gel to be soap. It will take 6 weeks to cure. In my case I was asking about plastic molds for soap too. HTH
Sherie
Thanks Karol! I thought it would be okay, but just wanted to know for sure. This is the first soap I've done that hasn't gelled! Go figure, LOL!
RobinInOR
Sometimes gel doesn't start for a couple of hours, sometimes it starts in the pot Will depend on your recipe, fragrance, temperatures...
Sherie
Thanks Robin! That's exactly what happened in the case. I did soap at a lower temp and it did start to gel after a few hours. I'll post pics of it when I take it out. Thanks for the help!
