dcroome2005
This was done before I got all the helpful info from Scented and Eugenia. Not sure if I am still messing up or not. I kinda like the way this one turned out whether it's wrong or not. This is addicting !!!Same Scents- Pumpkin Pie Spice and Cinnamon BunThe set of 3 pic is just showing the difference between the ones I am making and trying to show improvement with each one. Hope I am doing it. LOL

dcroome2005
yes. The first two I chilled the molds- wondering if that effected it.. The 3rd one, I didnt!I would have to look at my notes more to see if something else could have caused it!

wookie130
So for those of us who are rustic-pillar-challenged, the pro's on here would NOT recommend chilling the mold? I'm gearing up to begin making pillars (I've been making containers, tarts, and votives for 2.5 years), and LOVE the rustic effects, and the lovely tilted layers. I have heard that chilling your mold helps with the rustic effect...hmmm.Anyway, all three of your rustics are lovely! I only hope my first attempts look 1/4 as nice as yours! ILVCANDLES
Way to go! At least your progress is better each time. When I make things 2 or 3 times it seems like I am taking steps back! Great work!
eugenia
So for those of us who are rustic-pillar-challenged, the pro's on here would NOT recommend chilling the mold? I've made a ton of these babies. Do not chill the mold!
dcroome2005
Then that is why # 3 came out better because that was the only one I didnt chill the mold. Thanks E!
